1. Introduction

Stakely ("the App", "we", "us") is a sports predictions platform developed by Loizos Loizou. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about the data we handle.

Stakely provides sports predictions for informational and entertainment purposes only. The app does not facilitate, accept, or process any real-money bets or wagers. No gambling takes place within this application.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Data

When you create an account, we collect:

Email address — to create and manage your account
Display name / username — shown on your public profile

2.2 Profile Picture (Optional)

If you choose to upload a profile picture:

The image file is stored and associated with your account
Your profile picture will be visible to all other users inside the app
You may delete or change your profile picture at any time in Settings
We do not share your profile picture with third parties outside the app

2.3 Prediction and Activity Data

We collect and store:

All predictions you make — stored in your account and published publicly in the app for other users to view
Your prediction scores — calculated based on prediction accuracy and performance
Your rankings — derived from your scores and used for leaderboards and comparisons
Leaderboard data — your score, rank, username, and prediction statistics displayed on public leaderboards

2.4 Subscription Data

If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled directly by Apple App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment card details. We use RevenueCat to verify and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat receives an anonymous User ID and your purchase token only.

2.5 What We Do NOT Collect

We do not collect:

Payment card or financial details
Location or GPS data
Analytics or behavioural tracking data
Device identifiers

We will never sell your data or use it for advertising.

4. Public Nature of Predictions, Scores, Rankings, and Leaderboards

Important: By using Stakely, you acknowledge and agree that:

All predictions you make will be published publicly in the app and can be viewed by any other user
Your prediction scores will be calculated and displayed on public leaderboards
Your rankings will be shown on public leaderboards alongside your username and prediction statistics
Leaderboards are visible to all users and may show your username, score, rank, and prediction performance
This public visibility is a core feature of the app and is necessary for the leaderboard and competition functionality

If you do not want your predictions, scores, or rankings to be visible to other users, you should not use the prediction or leaderboard features of the app.

5. Third-Party Services

RevenueCat, Inc.

Used to manage in-app subscriptions. Privacy policy: revenuecat.com/privacy

Apple App Store / Google Play

All payments are processed by Apple or Google directly. We do not have access to your payment details.

6. Data Storage and Security

All data is transmitted using HTTPS/TLS encryption.

Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active.

Purchase history is retained for 7 years as required by applicable law.

Prediction data, scores, rankings, and leaderboard data are retained as long as your account is active and are part of the public nature of the app.

Deleting your account permanently removes your personal data within 30 days. Note that due to the public nature of predictions and leaderboards, some anonymized or aggregated data may remain in system logs.

7. Sharing of Information

We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data to any third parties, except:

With RevenueCat as described in Section 5, for subscription management
Your predictions, scores, rankings, profile picture (if uploaded), and username are shared with other users inside the app as described in Sections 2.2, 2.3, and 4
If required by law or legal process

8. Your Rights

Depending on your region (including under GDPR for EU residents), you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Correct inaccurate information
Delete your account and all associated data
Object to or restrict how we process your data
Withdraw consent at any time (including consent for profile picture visibility)

You can delete your account directly in the app under Settings → Account → Delete Account, or by contacting us at the email below. We will respond within 30 days.

Note: Because your predictions, scores, rankings, and profile picture (if uploaded) are designed to be visible to other users as part of the app's core functionality, withdrawing consent or deleting your account will remove your data from future display, but may not immediately remove cached or aggregated data from leaderboards.

9. Children's Privacy

Stakely is not intended for users under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
